Welcome to Hotel Mai. A place to meet Asia in Amsterdam.
A fabulous Asian influenced boutique hotel in the vibrant neighbourhood Chinatown around the corner of Amsterdam's famous Zeedijk area.
This four star boutique hotel features a dreamy combination of Asian influenced mid century furniture and eclectic interior design. The lobby invites for a drink with the honesty bar ready for you to shake a cocktail or two. The Asian look and feel décor is adorned with artistic masterpieces and other extraordinary eye-catchers. This hotel is certainly a one-of-a-kind hotel experience. We really enjoyed it.
We stayed in the Comfort Room Canal View where you'll snuggle up in a king-size bed with crisp white sheets, awake under a rainfall shower and wake up to a breathtaking canal view.
Breakfast is served in the MAI kitchen, an Asian inspired restaurant in the evening.
Hotel Mai Amsterdam is part of the Vondel Hotels group with eight 4-star boutique hotels and 3 short-stay apartments based in Amsterdam and Maastricht.

What to do in Chinatown and the Zeedijk area in Amsterdam?
Its been years since I went out and about around Amsterdam’s famous Zeedijk area, part of Chinatown, and it was quite fun again!
Restaurant Hot & Hot - A Chinese hotpot restaurant at the Zeedijk with one of my fav, Sichuan spicy soup!
Thai Bird Snackbar - Thai snack and take-away. Thai food at its finest at the Zeedijk.
Old Church / Oude Kerk Amsterdam - is Amsterdam’s oldest building which was founded circa 1213. The church stands in De Wallen, now Amsterdam's main red-light district. oudekerk.nl/en
Museum / Church Our Lord in the Attic (Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder) - A hidden pink church you might not even know existed. Really tucked away in the heart of Amsterdam's inner city you'll find this uniquely preserved house from the 17th century which, guess what, an entire church in the attic.
